You need to try this recipe! We've taken the easily overlooked, but super convenient Trader Joe's Gyro Slices to make a healthy & flavorful version of the classic gyro sandwich.
INGREDIENTS: GYRO IN PITA
½ whole wheat pita
2 gyro slices
1 tablespoon Cilantro & Chive Yogurt Dip
2-3 slices of tomato
INGREDIENTS: EASY SIDE SALAD
½ bag Herb Salad Mix
½ tomato, chopped > use 2-3 slices of the ½ tomato for the gyro
½ cucumber, sliced
½ tablespoon balsamic glaze
Heat the gyro slices according to package instructions.
Heat the pita on stove top or toaster oven.
Spread the yogurt dip in the pita & add the gyro & tomato slices.
Toss all the ingredients for the side salad in a bowl, top with balsamic glaze & enjoy!
